Just spoke to a MAC assistant coach. He said that teams have already begun to attempt to poach the top players on their roster. Such is the reality of the MAC's decision. "There's going to be a lot of unintended consequences," he said.

It will be interesting to see if any big sky conference players are poached this fall. My first thought would be a guy like Sammy Akem who has NFL talent. Obviously Troy Andersen would be in that discussion as well if he wasn’t rehabbing from knee surgery.

Akem and Toure are both possibilities to be poached by a larger school. Shame, because they are among the most talented duo of receivers in Montana history.

As far as the top duo graduating in the same class, Gurnsey and Baker in ‘94 are the only pair ahead of them. IF they get to play a full Sr season, they’ll pass those two as the greatest duo ever.

This article lays out several options for Trey Lance. I wouldn't bet on him still being on NDSUs roster for a spring season.

I could see the same thing happening with other top FCS players.

Elerson Smith
@ElersonSmith
I’d like to thank everyone involved at the University of Northen Iowa for my time spent there. But at this point with the season being canceled I will be entering the transfer portal.

There is conjecture that the Power 5 will all be cancelling soon also (see my thread for article) so that may put an end to the transferring.

Changa Hodge and an all American OL, both from Villanova already left and landed on FBS rosters. I am hoping we hold onto Sammy, Toure, and Jace.

Add xavior Williams from the Panthers in the portal.
I have heard a third will soon join them.
Im thinking this will be the trend with fcs players who have nfl aspirations.
People are kidding themselves if they don't think p5 schools are not in contact right know with these kids .
If the big ten and pac-12 make their announcement this week on a spring schedule that will throw a monkey wrench into everything as a domino effect may follow with big 12, acc, and sec.

Afraid this won't be the last one, I expect even more names in the days and weeks to come.
I wonder where he ends up?
E.s.p.n. just announced their going to a spring schedule for football, expect the pac-12 to follow very soon.
