There is zero reason to give Colter access. If I was Stitt, I would not. None. AJ, Kaimin and others do well for us. Colter's coverage of the Big Sky wit large...without the Griz...is like no coverage at all.

Actually its an age thing, but social media as real news source Seriously? Its anything but. It is what it is - at best gossip, with a grain of truth to make it believable while stroking the posters ego. Stiit understands at least that much.

The kids read social media. Recruits. I am amazed/shocked/appalled at how many of them substitute social media for nearly all other information sources. The Missoulian and Nuanez were primarily communicating this story ahead of their formal outlets entirely through social media. Everyone went there to look first.

Its funny how the people who don't understand what Stitt is doing (after all of his years he has been head coaching) think it's Stitt who doesn't know what he is doing.

The sad, or stupid, thing is that Stitt could have avoided all of this in the first place by simply issuing a press release explaining the roster changes, why they were made, thanking the kids, giving them a pat on the back and offering best wishes ... but, he created a problem for himself by his odd penchant for secrecy, and then compounded it by refusing to accept any responsibility for it. The University of Montana Football Program ultimately belongs to the people of the State of Montana, and that wasn't his call to make.

I have never put you down, never teased you, but I must admit this is the dumbest thing I have ever read....ever. Not Stitt's call to make??? Are you kidding me?? Are you a cat fan? I keep telling myself only a cat fan could be so disillusioned.

It's clear you think this is Stitts fault, that names of players came out the way they did. I'm not certain I would have done things any differently. I just don't know. I DO know as a dad I have thrown my share of "temper tantrums" if you will in defense of or protecting my children in one form or another. Even when I may have been partially at fault. To me it seemed that's exactly what Stitt was doing. I don't think he was as much upset that things didn't come out the way he had hoped but that kids and their families were especially hurt. His temper tantrum was in defense of his players not because he woke up and decided he didn't like so called reporters.

I just see this very differently than you do.
