i suppose the griz have faced some incredible talent through the years, but can there be many better than damian lillard? to me, one one his worst moments tonight--the failed dunk toward the end--was also his most impressive. after twisting and turning down the lane, i didn't think he had in him one more push to the rim. and this late in the second game in two nights in which he played nearly every minute. i'm probably preaching to the choir here since i haven't seen him since the game anthony johnson dominated, but if i were him, i wouldn't be wasting my talent on the big sky another year. i say this without a whit of self-interest as a montana fan. this kid should be playing with the big boys.

He's so quick and smooth. He's a team player. He's gonna have a great pro career.

Last night was the first time I had seen him play. He is the real deal, and has NBA written all over him. His quickness was so superior to anyone else on the court last night, including Cherry and Jamar. He reminds me of Rip Hamilton.....same height, same build, similar skills. He is a dandy for sure.

Amazing touch and basketball skills. Apparently a hard worker and a good human being. All the best to him at the next level. That being said, don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Are you talking to me, or Lillard? :o

He's definitely a great player. I was really surprised with his 3-4 really stupid turnovers last night.

Lillard

He is a class guy. These are the types of kids you root for no matter who or what team they are on. I have never watched him live (wished I had), but I have always been impressed with his attitude, tenacity and class. Great watching those kids that have the ability and they do so in a way that makes people around them better. Damian Lillard is a great kid and I wish him all the success in the world.

I'll root for the kid, may not as much if he is wearing a Knicks, Heat or Lakers jersey.

Very talented offensive player. Explosive like Westbrook.

After seeing Rodney Stuckey play a few times live against the Griz and Lillard both times this year and two years ago as well I've got to say, I think Lillard is a better overall player and potentially could be a better player than Stuckey in the NBA.

Rodney Stuckey seemed to take over the court with his mere physical presence and imposing style of play. When playing at EWU he wasn't as fluid as Lillard, didn't handle the ball as well, and really just relied on slashing and running past guys. Also I don't really recall Stuckey at EWU being such a good pure shooter especially from a deeper range especially.

Of course Stuckey in almost all of his games played like an NBA player, didn't pass much, shot a ton, put it all on his shoulders. Lillard is much more well rounded coming out of the Big Sky than Stuckey was at that time I beleive - however he's obviously shown some issues against certain defenses (like Montana's) where Stuckey pretty much scored on just about everybody.

everybody except Criswell when kevin locked him down for the second half when we beat eastern on that great sunday afternoon in 2006! Rodney was great, but i remember criswell running around not more than 2 feet away from him the whole second half!

had to share that great griz moment haha but both are great players...kinda wonder what stucky would have done if he stuck around as long as lillard, i think thats the biggest difference when you try to compare how the 2 have fared in the BSC...rodney did it as a freshman, he refined his game in the leauge, not through 3 years of college..pretty amazing for a BSC player
