Just had a conversation with a bobcat fan and one of his come backs was "we installed lights first, so your trying to be like us." This comment is partially true, yes you did install lights permanently before us, but the only reason they got lights is the saw the night games at griz stadium. Another fact, msu installed lights but did not use them once this whole season. While we install light use them before the season starts and bring as many fans as msu did during their home playoff game against new Hampshire. O and now the cats moved their first game to finally use their lights after sitting for 2 years great investment.FTC!

First, the reason we installed lights has everything to do with consistent practice and game start times and nothing to do with what you are doing. Second, We did not have the lights up until Cat/Griz and we used them during the UNH game. But don't let the facts get in the way of your narcisistic rage.

Check your facts, pard

I also believe part of the reason for lights were the TV contracts. I think UM and MSU were the last two schools in the Big Sky without lights and that needed to be done before the Root Sports deal could be inked.

Who gives a rats about what program installed lights first. I am glad for the bobcats that they have lights and now Coach St. Ash can get more consistent practices and maybe even an occasional night game.
When a bobcat starts bragging about getting lights first it just shows how desperate he is to show they are trying to keep up with the Griz.
Hopefully both schools continue to improve their programs and remain the best in the conference.

At least MSU actually uses their lights for night games. My inquiry of UM as to why they would let a whole season go by without scheduling a single game under the new lights..."They are for practice and for games scheduled for TV." Bogus. The Griz could be playing an early season games or two without the lame excuse that you don't turn them on unless it's for the benefit of TV? You can be assured that that wouldn't have been Jim O'Day's answer. Athletics are on auto pilot.

Quite possibly your dumbest post ever, and that's saying a lot, considering the source...have fun this summer, and good luck this fall in 6th grade.

Not one post of support....hmmm, perhaps Egrizers are on to you.

nope, nobody on egriz is on to him.

My recollection is that UM announced the "lighting" plans first, and then MSU suddenly popped up, found a donor, and got their lights, in a competitive sort of way. It seemed kind of ... "unseemly."

That said, MSU's are "OK." UM's, with the Mountain, are really something.

Good thing that Bobcat fan didn't go to a message board, start a thread and make up stuff about it. Imagine how stupid that would be...

Speaking of changing the subject, here is a little trivia Q and A from the Griz/cat rivalry.

What was the last year that the cats finished a football season with a lead in overall series between the 2 schools?

1909 when they led the series 7 wins to 6 losses and 1 tie. 1909! :o
