LadyGriz LG vs Portland State

Lady Griz 1st quarter was good but 2nd quarter sucked.

. PSU 25 lady griz 23

0 for 10 from 3 point line.

Waddington fell down and kinda hit her head. Taken out of the game but I think she will be back. I hope. Hate to lose her due to a concussion

Actually it was more her elbow than elbow than head.

Tied 35 to 35 now
 
31 points for Waddington along with 10 rebounds. I think Harris planned this way as the first quarter he had Waddington take it all the way down and immediately attack the basket. I think she had 12 points in the first quarter and they were all easy layups.

Wacker was 0 = 9 shooting but lead the team with 11 rebounds.

Back to Waddington - 7 of her 10 rebounds were on the offensive side. That alone almost is as many offensive rebounds the team has had all season in a game.

Lady Griz had 12 offensive rebounds this game which I think may be the best game all season. Lady Griz won the rebounding battle today which doesn't happen to often.

If Lady Griz could play defense all four quarters like in the 4th quarter, they would have won more games this year.

Looked like PSU applied enough D to put a big crunch on our game, but they fouled a lot and we got the FT's. Scourers Land, Ehrman, and of course Avery big time...I think she could have even scored more! Offensive rebounds thank you, counts big in a game of missed shots. An odd game watching, home court, bottom opponent holding us down, could have very well took this one right in front of us!

Missed most of the layups in the second quarter also. Lady Griz tend to have at least one really bad quarter each game. Maybe by conference tournament they can solve that issue.
