I'm not trying to steal Brint's or get em's thunder, but it's Thursday and the only thread about our game on Saturday is the score prediction thread. We should talk about this game.

According to the Missoulian, the Bears hang their hat on defense (kinda). They have come away with a lot picks so far, but their run D isn't so solid. With a weak run D from the Bears, the Griz should hopefully have success establishing their run first offense. I expect Canada, Van, and even Nguyen to touch the ball a lot this game. Obviously with Canada doing most of the work.

This article had nothing to say about the Bears' offense. What do we know about them? In their first 3 games, they have put up 12, 28, and 7 points (the 12 being to FBS UNLV). Based on those scores alone, the Bears don't seem to have a high flying offense. With scores like these, I'm assuming our defense should handle the Bears' offense with not a ton of trouble.

Any thoughts or comments about the Bears or this match-up would rock.

Go Griz!

I think everyone's a little too bummed out about paying 50 some bucks to watch the Griz take on N. Colorado....

but I'm sure it will "sell out"

Go Griz!

Our D won't disappoint, they may even score more points or create situations to assist our anemic 'power' offense.....

I suspect this is going to be a low scoring game. I still do not have much confidence our OL.

I believe Griz run game is hit and miss and the passing game more of the same. I see the Bears D giving JJ some problems. Especially with how JJ has been throwing the ball as of late.

I read the Missoulian article and Mick saying JJ was banged and bruised from the NDSU game. If JJ is banged up, maybe we see SSH or Gus play. Frankly I say give them a shot.

I say Griz win a close one.

Bumps and bruises are normal in DI football; I'm sure JJ will be ready; he has a lot of tuning to do before we get to the tough part of the BSC schedule. We've seen enough of SSH; would definitely like to see more of Gus. But if we have the lead I expect we'll have, it's unlikely he will allowed to throw much.

Just what are you tryin' to say here? Are you implying that every seat might not have someone sitting in it. I'm sure they're there. They're just in the food line or something....for the entire game.

All i know is that when we "broke" the attendance record against South Dakota there were a buttload of empty seats in the house. In no way shape or form did we break the attendance record...

Attendance numbers have always seemed questionable. I would think by scanning tickets they are more accurate now than they were in the days when they weighed the ticket stubs, or O'Day used his thumb to guess

Official attendance includes more than the number of tickets sold, though it also includes comps and workers in the stadium, including people selling hot dogs and 50-50 tickets. basically to get in the stadium you have to have either a wrist band, a pass, or a ticket, and they are counting all of those. I think the Central WA game included introducing all the players parents if I remember correctly, and also I believe there were a lot of recruit visits for that game, so it is possible to have fewer people in the stands but still set an attendance record.

As will be with most games this season, it comes down to protecting your Johnson.
