Leadership

Leadership does not come from one season, but many.
Leasership is not a flashy play, but constant hard work doing what you are counted on to do to help the other guy make the flashy play.
Leadership is not a number, a popularity contest or who can bang their helmet the hardest. It is about total decication to each other, a community and a tradtion of excellence.
Leadership is not about statements, blog posts, or sound bites. It is about actions on and, now most importantly off the field, and soon the off season.
Leadership is more visible when you lose than when you win. It can be seen in how we handle adversity.
Leadership is not blaming or scapegoating, but not generalizing or covering up either.
Leadership is reflected in not just the team's actions and performance, but the actions of every individual lucky and talented enough to be a part of the family know as the Griz. It is also the style and substance surrounding the team. We all see it instantly when we travel to away games; the good to emulate and the disgusting to remind us what we never want to become.

My hopes and prayers are that the players, coaches, administration, and those with a forum on this site reflect on the traditon of Griz leadership; locally, state-wide and nationally. Want us to lead again? Start Now. Start Here.

Lead by example! That has been the problem for the Griz this year. Flashy posts on egriz aren't going to do it. The Griz need Coaches, University Administrators and Players to " step up". Otherwise it won't improve here.
