Griz fans can look forward to watching Lamar play for the Griz next year. He' s the JC player transferring in from Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyo. I' ve watched several of his games this year and he's got all the tools. They list him at 6' 3" but he seems at least an inch or two taller. He plays the perimeter and has a nice soft 3 pt shot with lots of arc from 3-4 feet outside the line. He is quick and athletic and penetrates well. Also, he'll post up in the offense NW runs. Should be a great addition to the team. I haven't kept close track of his scoring but I know he's had some 30+ point games. My daughter plays on the women's team and knows Lamar fairly well and says he's a nice guy. She says he goes over to the local daycare center and puts in time helping out.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to watch him play next year. Griz have some good recruits coming. Now that it looks like they hit rock bottom a couple a weeks ago, there is nowhere to go but up. And it seems that things are looking up for the Griz.

Griznwyo- has Lamar been hurt the last couple of weeks? I know he was hurt 2 or 3 weeks ago in a game and missed at least one game. I have noticed his scoring and other numbers have been way down the last few games and have been wondering if this was related to still being injured.

Lamar was hurt and missed some playing time. He had a sore back but he looked fine on Friday night when they played Casper. I don' t know how many points he scored because we left early in the first half, but I do remember him hitting a 3 from the left wing several feet outside the arc.
