Way to go Lady Griz. They were on a mission, and they earned it, The big Sky championship and automatic bid to the big dance. Won 66 - 62.

Bengals fought, clawed, and fought hard with lots of heart, but unfortunately for them, the best team in the league won. And that is the way it should be.

One problem for the Bengals though, is that they had to much production from one player, Annie Anderson, and not enough from any other player except small periods in the second half. But, I have mentioned this previously on this board, ISU coach Jon Newly should get the coach of the year for turning a lousy team last year to a second place the year after.

Okay, enough on the team that lost.

For the Lady Griz, Brooklyn Lorenzen and Juliann Keller both had a huge game.

Keller lead the Lady Griz in scoring with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Named to the all tournament team.

Lorenzen scored 13 points and 8 assists. She won her second MVP of the season in this game.

Tyler had a good game and had 14 points. Also all-tournament player.

Lady Griz turned the ball over only 8 times.

Okay Ladies, it is now off to the big dance.

I am thinking 10th or 11th seed. Latest RPI I have seen had them ranked 40th. This game should hopefully maintain that ranking as ISU was ranked in the 80s. All depends on the teams ranked around where the Lady Griz do.

Actually, I just checked the RPI ratings on collegerpi.com, and this win coupled with some losses like Utah losing, helped Lady Griz move up to 36th in the RPI. If you divide by 4, it could possibly mean a 9th seed, if Lady Griz stay there or move up.

That was a great game. Well worth the drive from Polson. The Griz should be in the 8-10 placement and should avoid playing a 1-4 seed. Get a little momentum and sweet 16 is possible. They just need to hit the 3 ball better. The 3 kept ISU in the game and we didnt answer a couple of times. The ISU coach has done a great job. Too bad we lost Molly. After watching her dad play college ball, I would have gone out of my way to keep the Hayes blood in the Griz family. Just like her dad, she doesnt know how to quit.

There is also a projected field on that site (collegerpi.com). It shows that the teams going to Missoula for the first round games would be the 2nd, 7th, 10th and 15th seeded teams. Of course this is only a speculative look at how the field might shape up. Still, good reason to believe the Lady Griz may be seeded 10th.

**edit** Actually, this link doesn't show the field, you can get there from this link nonetheless.

If your seeded 8 or 9, you will most likely play the number 1 seed in the second game. That is, unless there is a big upset, and the 1 seed loses to the 16th seed.

Anyway, the collegerpi.com RPI rankings are not the official rankings. The NCAA has theirs and is not released to the public until the bracket is filled. But, if you know the criteria, like collegerpi.com does, should be able to predict pretty close though.

And your right, it sure be nice if Robin recruited Molly, but he didn't have any scholarships available.
