At halftime Montana leads 39-38 :o

Idaho State is unconscious from outside (7-12). That's just ridiculous. It sounds like we've given up quite a few open 3's. I expect Robin to go in and make his adjustments. Right now ISU is living by the 3, and they're still losing. The Lady Griz can't get discouraged because they are playing a heck of a game right now. Even if ISU continues to get open shots, you don't expect them to make 60%.

As long as Montana continues to get good looks from inside, this game is in their control.

Yep, a big win. Everybody had a pretty solid game. Hollie only shot 4-17 from the field, but the team still managed 46% on the night. I don't see Hollie having two bad nights in a row.

ISU's shooting did balance out as they only shot 2-10 in the second half from outside. They played a solid game, but the Lady Griz just were too much for them. I wasn't there, but it sounded a lot like the pace of the WSU game from last week. Good to see we can win these shootouts.

So it's the Wildcats and Grizzlies for another BSC championship! Hopefully the results are duplicated as well.

Lady Griz got past the first step on their way to the Big Sky Championship by beating ISU.

Jody Mcleod had a double-double, and so did Lynsey Monaco. Katie Edwards made 17 points, and the Lady Griz bench kicked ass.

Mcleod's double-double was 12 points, and 12 rebounds. Monaco's double-double was for 11 points and 11 assists.

Monaco also turned the ball over 1 time and stole the ball 4 times.

Jody Mcleod would have to be considered the player of the game today. She was all over, and pretty much out jumped every Bengal for rebounds. Plus, there were so many things she did that just won't show up in a box score. Like the time she went out of bounds for the ball and knocked it off a Bengal where it went out of bounds, Lady Griz ball. Jody pretty much saved Holly Tyler today rebounding so many of Tyler's missed shots. Tyler made only 4 of 17 shots for 8 points.

Lady Griz bench outscored the ISU bench 21 - 5.

For ISU, they had four players in double figures. Molly Hays made only 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 turnovers, to go along with 4 fouls. Jody Mcleod pretty much dominated her.

Tomorrow, the best two teams meet up for the championship, Weber State and Montana. It will be a tough, matching up the league's top two players, Julie Gjertsen and Holly Tyler. Today, neither Julie or Holly had the best games. Weber State beat NAU in a tough game. Gjertsen only had 8 points, also.
