One thing I'am surprised about is that Betsy Snead didn't contribute as much as a 'Gatorade POY,' albeit from Wyoming, would normally be expected to do. I was thinking before the season that she'd possibly be vying for a starters role. She averaged 18 ppg as a senior in hs.

I agree with 'citygriz' with his observation insofar as before the season I was expecting Rogers to be the starting PG and Mandy at the SG position; maybe next year?

there is no Betsy Snead listed as a Gatorade Wyo player of the year in Women's basketball. Wyo HS girls BB is actually very good. The player for this year also accepted a Wyo scholarship over several ACC schools.

Two of the last three accepted scholarships at Wyo and Newell is at Stanford. Here is the list of the last four, not including this year

Just a quick check on the UM Media Guide only shows as a Wyoming 'Miss Basketball' of 2004 & North Conference POY-2004. Somehow, I guess, I got Gatorade POY and Miss Basketball mixed up as one and the same. My bad. Only state I know of that has two different awards like that.

Too bad Tahnee Robinson only lasted one game for the Cowgirls. Too much from the fans in the stands about a DUI while in hs I hear.
