An interesting side note, the Head Coach of Seattle is Joan Bonvicini, that was the HC of Long Beach State from 1979 to 1990. Around the year 1987 or so it is rumoured that she was asked what school would be the best for a transfer to by Vicki Austin. the Univ. of Montana was the one mentioned. After 1990 Bonvicini was HC of Arizona until 2008. She's been at Seattle since 2009.

Interesting. I remember that name. She seems to have fallen on hard times. I remember the reason Vicki came here was LBS was a top ten team and had an all-American potential guards.
