LADY GRIZ/ISU GAME THREAD

MUCH better game for the LG after the Weber disappointment. Got off to a terrific 12-0 start and lead 47-35 @ half. Just killing the Bengals on the boards--especially offensive. In all fairness, ISU is pretty much outmanned (outwomanned :) ) with little or no size, but LG also winning the hustle plays with great intensity and heart. As the ISU announcer has said a couple times, UM putting on an offensive clinic. Cole and Hill 180 degree change from the Weber mess. 11 and 12 points respectively. Selvig and Sims terrific going to the hoop inside. Carly should have about 3 more buckets that were basically point blank bricks.

Games officials leave a LOT to be desired. Calling the game assininely close with many barely touch fouls---at least they are consistently bad calling it that way on both teams. Just classic BSC mediocre quality--men's or women's games. Called a "T" on Feller that was just abysmal.

A sidelight---evidently the good folks in Pocatello are still in the cyberspace glacial age as they still haven't figured out how to graphically display the score/time clock---just once showing the scoreboard and a second weak effort at a 10-second sideways shot of the shot clock. :?: Only way you know the score is if the announcer mentions it or you mentally keep track. However, the announcer is almost embarrassingly generous in acknowledging Montana's great BSC track record, history, and coaching and saying their reputation is so great they don't have to recruit?

Here's to the Ladies continuing the good mojo in the second half and hopefully that carries on to the guys tonight. :thumb:

In the end we survived. ISU pulled to within 2 with 3-4 minutes left. LG came close to schustering another one.

Schustering?..shoemaker?..cobbler? Do you mean tying one on?

Shustering is the new term giving a nod to the skip of our USA Men's Curling team who managed to underperform in everyway in the Olympics. Could also be called Browning after the skip of our Women's Curling team who was even more pathetic.
