Lady Griz Dominate in Win Over EWU

Came out of halftime and just clobbered the Eagles. Tyler had a big game and Edwards hit some big shots even though she was under the weather. The commentators also had a lot of good things to say about Keller.

WSU beat ISU, MSU beat PSU.

WSU stays a 1/2 game back of UM, but they have the tough road trip out to Montana remaining. MSU stays alive with their W. They control their destiny for the playoffs.

Lady Griz just need to beat WSU to host the tournament.

On the other hand, Lady Griz can win all the rest of the games except WSU and not be able to host. In otherwords, WSU is also in control of their own destiny.

If NAU finishes ahead of EWU then the tiebreaker goes to WSU. If EWU finishes ahead of NAU though, then UM has the tiebreaker.

EWU is not going to finish ahead of NAU whether it is mathematically possible. EWU has one tough road trip to NAU and Sac St. In addition, EWU has been going in the wrong direction, while NAU and Sac State both have been going in the right direction. No way.

My prediction is as follows, and I do figure Lady Griz to beat WSU thus making NAU/EWU finish unimportant on who will host:

MSU may have just won their last game of the season against PSU.

EWU has been sliding as of late, losing their last 3, but they lost them to WSU, ISU and UM. Those are tough games to win. If they can trip up NAU on Thursday, that makes up the 1 game behind that they are right now. Sacramento State suprised EWU and I expect EWU to get a little revenge in Sacramento. Sacramento State is not on a roll, they've lost their last 4 and have dropped 11 of their last 14.

That NAU/EWU game is going to be a huge game for deciding playoff races. I'll be rooting for EWU to pull out the road victory. Both teams will be keyed up for sure.

The MSU/ISU game is one that could be interesting. MSU could be playing for a playoff spot, while ISU can't help or hurt themselves.

If EWU gets NAU at Flagstaff on Thursday, that gives them the tie-breaker over NAU as they would have beaten them both times.
