Youth is good for the Lady Griz.
For example, true freshman Johanna Clossen scored 18 points on 8 - 10 shooting. Two of those shots were 3 pointers. Also had 5 rebounds.
True freshman Dana Conway scored 8 points on 4 - 4 shooting. She had 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Other players with good games:
Jody McLeod scored 10 points and lead the team in rebounds with 10.
Katie Edwards scored 13 points. Juliann Keller had 12 points, and Lynsey Monaco had 8 assists and 0 turnovers at the point.
Overall, Lady Griz shot 52.2%, had 16 turnovers which isn't bad for the first game of the year even if the game doesn't really count, and out rebounded the opponent 49 to 33.
Lady Griz seemed to catch the free throw shooting virus from the men's team. Only shot 15 - 27 from the free throw line for 55.6%. Hope the Lady Griz improve on that in the next game.

and not as quick. However, they maybe able to use their larger bodies to protect the ball better so well see how it turns out!
