Mandy and Sonya scored 20 points a piece to lead Lady Griz to a win. This game they honored Selvig for his 700th win.

All the players were able to play today.

Half time score was 33 - 29 Lady Griz.

Jessa Loman Linford had her best game and scored 10 points in 17 minutes of play. I think she is the first off the bench to play more than 15 minutes. Okay, I am wrong, both Johnson and Linford had other games with more than 15 minutes.

Sara Ena scored in double figures with 10 points.

Robison and Guardipee scored 6 points each.

That is all the players that scored for the Lady Griz.

I got there early enough to get a stamp with Selvig on it so I can pay my telephone bill. :lol:

Sunday afternoon scheduling is murder on men's and women's BB attendance. I don't know why the athletic dept. schedules any Sunday afternoon games. :?

This was the highest attended game for the Lady Griz so far. For the men's, the sunday game against Santa Clara was the second highest attended game. So, Sunday isn't exactly murder on attendance.

But, I missed the game and if they take the number of tickets sold including season ticket holders, then maybe that attendance figure for the Santa Clara game was over stated. But, the Lady Griz game, it actually looked like the declared attendance, so not sure about that.

What is murder is to have a game scheduled same day as a men's football playoff game. plus games during the middle of the week can be murder for attendance. friday or saturday (as long as there wasn't a Griz Football playoff game) are the best days to have a basketball game (in the evening of course). Back in the day when attendance was great for men's basketball in 70s and early 80s, Conference games were played on friday - saturday. then the move to Thursday - saturday and attendance dropped for the thursday games.

Lady Griz are averaging around 700 more than the mens team. But, Lady Griz only had two official home games. Lady Griz game against Colorado State this wednesday will lower it some.

Also, Mandy Morales was named player of the week. 20 points and career high 14 rebounds won it for her.
