The game started a little slow, with lots of air-balls by ISU, and turnovers by the Lady Griz, then the Lady Griz got going. Towards the end of the 1st 1/2 the Lady Griz were 12/16 from the field, and I really thought they were going to shoot 75% for the 1/2. At that time ISU was shooting about 26% from the field.
I thought Robin was going to lose it at the end of the game due to officiating - ISU was playing very physical, but the harder ISU played the more offensive fouls they called on Montana - it was almost like they were trying to make the game close. A ton of traveling was called last night on both teams - pretty strange, they certainly seemed focused on it.
Molly Hayes had a double double, but to be honest she didn't look that great tonight. At one point I think she was 0-8 from the field, with all her points on late free throws. She did have some nice moves to the hoop, just couldn't finish. Probably a combination of nerves and not a great supporting cast.
The crowd was o.k., about 3500 people, not very excited though.
