Do you think if they sweep the rest of the season including the tournament and get to the NCAA's that they will get some respect???

Last week the Lady Griz received 4 votes in AP top 25.
This week the Lady Griz received 1 vote in AP top 25.

Virginia is the 25th ranked team with 117 votes.

Look at the disparity between where they are at and where they need to get to, I would have to say that the Lady Griz will not reach top 25 this year.

Now, I have seen some teams make huge jumps in votes, but most of those were teams that were in the power conferences and they had some wins over some big top ranked teams.
Lady Griz do not have any games against any team receiving any votes whatsoever remaining on their schedule. So, don't expect any jumps in voting. Considering their last win was over a team that wouldn't be on anybody's radar for contending for an NCAA spot, Lady Griz lost 3 votes. They just may lose that 1 vote even if they win both.

Teams that Lady Griz played are Wyoming with 53 votes, Gonzaga 3 votes, and Boise State 2 votes. Lady Griz lost to all three teams.

Lady Griz were 27-3 last year and did not make the tourney. The Big Sky does not get any respect.

I think the Lady Griz would have made the NCAA tournament last year if they lost in the championship game instead of the semifinals.

Maybe the Lady Griz would have made the championship game last year if the Big Sky Conference didn't make a mistake in seeding. Weber State was supposed to be the 4th seed, NAU the 3rd seed. But, because of a mistake, the BSC swapped NAU and WSU. They just kind of found the mistake this week. A bit to late (like a year late).

:shocked: No kidding thats a little late. How does the conference accidentally seed the teams wrong? That seems like a pretty major mistake for something that shouldn't require a lot of thinking.

And unfortunatley losing in the 2st round of the NIT probably helped re-enforce the NCAA's decision to leave the Lady Griz out.

However I view last year's tourney as a major motivator this year, I'll bet we some of the best basketball from the Lady Griz come tournament time.
