Kohn and Mornhinweg

Marty and Joe remind me of the late Lakers announcer, Chick Hearn. I was a big fan of Magic Johnson, so I listened to Chick, quite often.
So to Tomorrow night………
This one is in the refrigerator, the door is closed, the E$$s are cooling and the butter is getting hard❗️

If Marty actually used the terminology and coach speak, most fans would be so incredibly lost. And that's okay. Most football fans played in high school at most, and have never coached. He serves a valuable role. Always on the level. Always above the tits.

I love Marty. I think he’s extremely entertaining. I just think it’s funny when people complain about color guys stating the obvious. It’s like complaining the wheels roll. That’s what they do😂.

Almost like he watched that play in practice multiple times during the week and knew exact the situation and scheme it was going to be used again? Jimmy the Greek level prognostication. 😉

He definitely has forgotten more about the game than most of us will ever know.

Generally if most like something or someone, they’re probably not the worst. That’s on the observer then at that point.

I think having a guy like Marty who has the vast football experience, but kind of plays the less polished "wild card" is fine as long as he's next to a really smooth, polished announcer who can keep things on track, can pronounce the players names, and most importantly is pleasant to listen to....then I think Marty works.

Kohn was not that guy. The two sounded awful together. My wife, who is not a big football fan, enjoys watching games as long as a) it's an entertaining game, and b) the announcers aren't an unmitigated disaster. She couldn't stand listening to Griz games the last couple years.

Hopefully we get someone how can take the wheel in a better way and just let Marty be the wild card insider.
