Knight Question

Forgive me if this has been addressed but Knight has not used a redshirt, correct? If he were to somehow be ready to go for playoffs and we somehow make the championship game, he could still redshirt despite playing all playoff games, no?

He's listed as a junior on gogriz, not as a redshirt junior, so as long as it's accurate then he has not taken a redshirt year. IF he is able to play this year, then yes he could play in up to four games and still use it as his redshirt year. BUT I wouldn't hold my breath since it doesn't seem likely that he's going to play at all this year.

Isn’t there some rule about playing your four games in the postseason would count against you? Meaning if they were postseason games that you participated in you cannot save your redshirt? Maybe that’s FBS only in a bowl game.

Pretty sure you get four games in the FCS, doesn't matter when those 4 games are. Since he was injured last April, technically he could be healed by now and able to play. Just not worth the risk. Get fully into game shape, extra months to heal and rehab and be ready to go next year. Griz should be loaded at running back next year if Knight is 100%

MK graduated HS in SJ Capistrano in 2018 and played the 2018 season at Citrus JC, 2019, here, 2020 didn't count so 2021 could well be a normal redshirt year with two years eligibility remaining. Justin Green told me on the spring tour that MK would not be available until spring 2022 and they would be very careful with him then. He is a 4.0 communications major and we should have some fear that a grad school may be in his plans before 5 years.

My question would be why in the world would we expose him to injury at this late date. Have we not learned anything from playing Ostmo? It seems every time he gets into a game that he aggravates his injury. While I don't know anything about his injury I seriously wonder if he will be able to participate in spring football. We need him healthy and we don't need the potential of aggravating Knight's injury and have him miss more games. This is just my opinion.

Relax; he is not going to play this year.

I am relaxed and have never believed that they would play him.
