it just jumped off the stat sheet, and danced a wonderful little jig that made me smile a big smile and think that the griz might be looking at a v-e-r-y good year.

the number of minutes for derek selvig.

also: the stat line for will cherry: 3 assists, 2 steals and 3 rebounds in 16 minutes. typical will cherry.

(okay, he can't shoot.)

Good post city, Selvig being close to healthy is HUGE. . Let me add a couple things about Cherry. Tinks needs to have someone work with Cherry on his shooting motion, especially on free throws. His fundamentals are nearly non existent when it comes to shooting. Cherry penetrates like no point guard the Griz have had in a long long time, so he is going to get to the line a lot. His stroke can be fixed, and there is no reason he can't become an 80% FT shooter in time. If I am Coach Tinkle, Cherry would be coming in early, staying late working on his form. That being said, the kid is fearless and was not afraid to take the big shot, like the 3 he knocked down against Fresno State. Big big upside with Cherry.
