Berland is much better and more valuable than a Rudy. He was fully capable of filling in at anytime, if called upon--like yesterday when Haynes was out.

I think maroon and silver was referring to his "Rudy"ness in regard to the commitment part.

I thought it pretty classy that the coaches had him get his catch early in the game, when it was relevant. Haynes has been out a lot this year so I don't think KB was next man up on the depth chart.
