Apologies if this is posted elsewhere on egriz. Kenpom has its preseason D1 hoops rankings up a bit earlier than normal. This has been the most accurate ranking system, in my opinion, over the past 10 years or so. So... very interesting.
Big Sky Conference Pre-Season power ranking -- Kenpom.
173 -- Montana State
179 -- Montana
182 -- Northern Colorado
192 -- Eastern Washington
233 -- Weber State
261 -- Northern Arizona
275 -- Sacramento State
292 -- Portland State
345 -- Idaho State
352 -- Idaho
Kenpom's preseason ranking of the Big Sky Conference is at 24, one below the Summit, but significantly below two comparable mid-major conferences WAC (13) and the Big West (16).
Another rating service I respect -- Haslametrics -- also has its pre-season 2022-23 ratings posted (much earlier than in past seasons). Haslametrics has the Grizzlies at 230, compared to MSU's 150 ranking.
