I love the story about the guys in prison garb pounding on a fender to taunt the opposing player. Reminds me of a Griz/Cat game back around '86(ish). MSU had this tall, lanky forward named Domako that was lighting up the BSC with his long-range shooting. During pre-game warmups, some students came out and unveiled a long banner that said "Domako is a Pin-Head!". They parked themselves under the MSU basket for a while and then paraded the thing all around the arena. The crowd was loving every minute of it and Domako seemed to get a bit rattled. He had a terrible game and the Griz won in a blow-out. (At least that's the way I remember it.)
Fun times in that old building.
