Kayla Lambert News:

Last I heard, which was about a month ago, was that she was still in school. This based on a message from some poster on Grizzlyboards.com who's source was from Selvig's wife, I think. I sure hope that info isn't out of date. As long as she is in school and grades are good, should be playing next year.

I hope she is able to play next year. Two years from now, could have another pair of awesome point guards, like we do with Lorenzen and Montes. Instead it will be Kayla Lambert and Michela Schmitz, or maybe both play guard along with Katie Edwards in a 3 guard lineup.

I don't know much about Lambert but I'm sure she's a great kid and I hope all works out well for her.
The reason I'm posting though is because you mentioned Michala Schmitz. I couldn't agree with you more as far as she will be the guard of the future for the Griz. It would be nice to have her along side of Edwards but no matter who it is, Schmitz will shine.

I attended a game on Wednesday in which Northwest JC of Powell played Sheridan JC to watch my daughter who plays for NW and also anxious to see Kayla Lambert play. Northwest won the game handily but I was disappointed because Lambert sat the entire game, never even taking her warmup off. My daughter said they prepared for her but didn't know why she didn't play. She did warm up and showed no sign of injury. Possibly she had been sick or maybe discipline for some reason.

Kayla Lambert had 27 points Thursday night against Northwest Community College who is/was ranked 16th in the nation. Sheridan won the game.
