Katie Baker named WBB First-Team All-Conference

She was the only Lady Griz player named to the all-conference team. Not bad for someone that had to come off the bench for most of the conference season because of her appendectomy in January.

I find it rather strange that the Lady Griz had only one representative for honors while the Cats had four with the teams had very similar records and split during the season. I don't understand why Sarah Ena didn't at least get an honorable mention. There needs to be a recount or an investigation.

An investigation? Sarah had her best season as a sophomore.

I think MSU only played 7 players on average so the stats weren't spread across as many players. Also with 4-5 players out most of the season the remaining MSU players really surprised much of the league with how they were able to step up during league play.

I would have thought that a player that received a POW recognition would have at least of been considered 'Honorable Mention' after the season is over. I thought Kenzie DeBoer was POW at one time. Doesn't POW and HM mean just about the same thing?
