Just a few thoughts from a mom

So tonight was my sons last game in a Griz uniform. He played his heart out tonight and no one is more disappointed in the outcome than those boys. Even more, the seniors. Please be kind to them. Next year will be here before you know it. Five years goes fast. Thanks to the fans who support and cheer these guys on regardless of the outcome of the game. You do make a lifetime of memories for all of us. ❤️#97

Yer kid's awesome!

You should be proud! I just wish there were about 8 or 9 other guys like him on that side of the ball with his passion and fight, especially Saturday

Congratulations "mom", you raised a man among men. #97 was the quiet leader, the one who took his position to the next level. I and I assume all of Griz nation wish Ryan all the best in life. Thank you and your family for all the time and effort involved.

Was my favorite Griz defensive player all year. Just "had it" play in and play out. Thank you for allowing me to cheer for him every week. Good luck to him with whatever he decides to do in life. He will do very will with that type of passion.

Thanks mom, some people on this board forget they are kids playing a game. Granted they are given a reward in the form of full or partial rides, but still kids. RJ was a great player, be proud. Go Griz

Seasons and careers can end surprisingly fast. While 97 was often overshadowed by bigger name guys, he was a huge contributor, and had a terrific career and great senior season. I heard the coaches comment several times this year on the terrific season he was having. I see that his teammates and coaches give him nice recognition at the recent banquet.

My 9 year old grandson had his Ryan Johnson picture from the program and his GRIZ football and marker to get autographs after the game. Saddened by the loss he said I am going down on the field no matter what happens only to hear the field was closed. There were a few tears. Ryan is one of his heroes from the GRIZ and this nana is glad he has such great young men to look up to.
