i dont know about everyone else. but i am sick of this guy. constantly when the game is handed over to him, he gives up runs. its almost a given. EverettGriz....who do we got we can bring up from Tacoma to replace this guy? Just look at his stats:

and thats not to count some of the runners he has inherited also. Maybe i just am biased. but i think its time for Mateo to go. Bavasi made two big moves today, i think getting rid of Mateo would be a big one as well.
 
I completely agree with you. I have never been a fan of Mateo, and have grown to hate him over the past 2 seasons. There have been several times this season that when they bring Mateo into the game, ill turn the tv off because i know they're gonna lose. He consistantly gives up runs and can turn a 5 run lead into a 2 run lead in an inning. I can only hope they will trade him before monday and let Green take his spot once he gets healthy.
 
Played 2nite, think two of the runs he sent in were earned to Moyer but he gave up 1 as well.

This guy stinks, I hate to say it but I liked Guardado better in middle relief.

Why not send him down to AAA to get his game on track and bring up one of the SPs from Tacoma like Baek, Cruceta or Jimenez. Give them a week or two in the pen and then if whoever you bring up is able to adapt to the majors give him Pinero's spot, send Joel to the pen.

Then when you need a reliever in the 4th - 6th (or earlier) bring in Joel, he's a much better option than Mateo.

(once they designate, they then have 10 days to release, or trade him)

or is that just a rule i dont know anything about, because i am really not sure what that rule is....but i do think Mateo needs to go.
 
He talking about sending him to AAA, not DFAing him. But I dont think sending him down will do anything. Hes had a few years to prove what he can do in the big leagues, and I dont think its good enough to be on the Ms roster. Bavasi has bee good at trading releviers over the years I thnk he could do it again this year
