Josh Buss named CSM Player of the Week

Buss was the monster under Aaron Baileys bed yesterday. He's going to create some problems for the Big Sky.

Dalton Easton was Player of the Week for the NEC for overcoming that impenetrable MSU defense by running up 368 yards passing.

Easton is a not-bad QB. He transferred to Bryant after 3 semesters at Akron. Won the starting job as a soph and passed for over 2000 yards. Last year he set all kinds of team records, including over 2,600 yards passing. He put nearly 300 yards on Coastal Carolina (but they lost that game too). Barring injury, they figure him to finish with Bryant records for total passing yards and TDs.

But … near as I can figure from his bio on the school web site, his previous high was 330 yards (4 TDs) against Duquesne, last year ... a game they won decisively. Except for the INTs, I imagine he wouldn’t mind having another go at the kitties.

That won't happen. Would require the Scats to play in the post season, which Bryant might, but they won't.

I learned it early in life from my parents and it was reinforced again this weekend. "YOU DON'T WANT TO GET HIT BY THE BUSS". This kid is a player.

I love how well he reacts to every play, then closes out strong on every tackle he is in on. What are the chances of him getting his weight to at least 230 lbs? If he can put on some weight w/out losing his quickness, he could catch some NFL interest his SR year.

Watching him toss Bailey like a rag doll was impressive. That dude is strong.
