That is all.

What I love best about JL is that he's obviously very coachable. Last year as a rookie, he really struggled, and was trying to pull EVERYthing. That earned him a demotion to Tacoma where they taught him to go with the pitch and hit the other way. Rather than pout about his stint in AAA, he went down there, worked his butt off and came back this year as a major-league hitter. It will be interesting to see if teams make adjustments and if he tails off at the second half of the year. But with the ability to hit to the opposite field, I can't see him having long slumps.

Betancourt's bat is coming around too, if Richie and Adrian can start becoming a little more consistent this team might become a threat!

Damn it's hard to trade with you guys!!!

Quess it's back to scouting out the K.C. Royals again. I wonder if they'll like to trade their starting rotation for an old 'has been that never was' (not mentioning names) being that they all happen to be on the DL at present. :bday:

I feel bad for the Royals. That once proud organization is now little more than a AAA club playing in a major league partk. It's gotta be killing George Brett.

Their personnel decisions are truly baffling. Its like the Royals look at 1996 Beckett Magazine and decide moves based on a player's baseball card ten years ago.

I kept waiting for the hot streak to end. It didn't. Lopez really is this good.

Yep - he's still got room to grow too. He'll hit for more power once he learns the pitchers. His bat speed is on the extreme end, which is cool to see. Once he started sitting back on outside, off speed pitches and flicking them to right, he became a very tough out. I can't wait for Snelling to get called up - word from the folks that watched them come up together is that they make for one hell of a R/L combo in the middle of a lineup.

There is a reason that Gillik compared him to Tejada when he was only 19. Everyone laughed at the time. Nobody is laughing now.
