On KPAX last night. Jordan took a knee in the thigh in practice yesterday. He looked severely hobbled and in pain on TV. I would hazard a guess he will miss games. Hopefully he will be ready for the Cats.

a KNEE?!!

wut a pussie. looks like the weak players are starting to get weeded out and we can throw the dead weight off. we only need real warriors from this point on

Knee to thigh, seperated shoulder, and now ankle sprain or break. Hopefully all is well? Three injuries in four games. Hope he is back soon? Hell of a loss if not!

for real...i sit right above the tunnel..and after the game i saw him walking out with an ace wrap on his right ankle..he could hardly put weight on it...i was seriously wondering why he was walking, i wanted to offer some kind of piggy back ride or something! NEVER WALK ON A NEW SPRAIN! damint!!! but he was all smiles, so maybe its not so bad..but thats pure speculation..judging by how he was moving down the tunnel..we are going to be without him on sat :(

The thing is, he does not get injured doing stupid things either. The injury against ISU his ankle just rolled practically standing there. He does not get injured doing the more physical things. He is cursed this year. I hope he is back soon too. The kid is rock solid offensively, tough defensively, good rebounding guard, and a huge threat from the perimeter. Get well soon Jordan. :thumb:

One of my friends who was at the game said he rolled it when he came down on the officials foot, that would hardly be just standing there, but he does seem a bit injury prone. Isn't this his 3rd one?

Questions:

If Jordan can't go on Saturday, who starts in his place? How does it change the rotation? What pressure does it put on the rest of the team?

IMO, Tinkle has several options, depending on what he wants to do. My guess is that he will start DeShields at guard. However with the way Spencer Coleman has been playing I could just as easily see Coleman start in the 3 position and move Kareem into the backcourt.

I'm curious about what others think.

My guess -- and it's simply that -- is that Keron starts, but I think your other option (KJ in the backcourt with Spence as the 3) will happen pretty early in the ball game.

I think you are right on this one. Considering the match up, we will need a lot of Coleman, Ward, and Weisner to force Weber States post players out defensively. Defensively, I honestly would love to see us have Martin stay in the paint for help defense and shadow their bigs, similar to how we used Selvig last season defensively.

There's some discussion on the weber board about how they are struggling against zones. It'll be interesting to see how much UM goes to that.

How did MSU beat Weber last night, primarily zone, primarily man or a combination of both? Also if the Griz decide to primarily employ a zone who is the better defender in the zone defense, Coleman, DeShields or Martin?

Just watched the game again on bigskytv, and it did look like he rolled on the official. I was sitting with his grandparents last night, and they were just worried sick. It sucks #1 that it had to happen at all, but #2 when he had family that drove in from Colorado to watch him. I hope he's better soon.

He has a great family too. Very enjoyable people. Hope they have a safe trip back to CO.
