JLM

Yeah... No kidding! News flash... EVERY coach has a system. Adjustments and "wrinkles" that are implemented are what makes a good coach. Results are what matters.

If this injury is as reported, a repair can take from 3 to 4 weeks if it was a minor situation and 6 to 8 weeks for something more substantial to heal. I'm hopeful he'll be back to full speed for the tourney. If he plays some prior, great.

JLM is not Kupp and EWU is not UM. EWU is a Pinto with a Mack barreling down on it. A few good players and one good coach HS stadium and red shag carpet.Bingo...Pinto

EWU is now the only true rival in conference game the Griz have. I hate that red field and I cannot believe they recruit to a facility and location that is far less attractive than MSU. Baldwin has done a damn good job. Unbelievable really when you consider what Wa Griz and Missoula have to offer. Bottom line - I don't despise EWU. I admire their ability to truly compete. The Griz have shot themself in the foot with the JJ situation. (I should say the administration overreacted and shot the program in the foot). Rebuilding takes time and hopefully the program turns the corner next year. I would love to see DOLA, a mobile QB and a bruising running game. You can still run Stitt's offense, but I just don't see the offense running the clock and sustaining drives against good teams. How good is EWU this year. We will find out on Saturday.

Comparing lil Napoleon (JLM) to Coop Kupp is like asking a Lamborghini owner to swap out for a Peugeot.
Kupp will get real run at the next level but I dont forecast a long term impactful NFL career.

The thing I dont like that I see in Stitt is what appears to be a "use 'em up" mentality as a head coach. I hope that it's not true but I dont see him adapting what he does to his talent. You just had next level talent WRs leave your program & Stitt did nothing to help prepare them for the next level - nothing.

Defensive Coordinators have recruited their way to beating offensive systems at this level. Dont believe me look at every so called "offensive Genius" who is coaching today...They are ALL struggling mightily with their "system" it has happened to Kelly, Halvorsen, Petrino, Kelley, Malzahn too.

Unfortunately Stitt is running a offensive "system" which has little if any weekly evolution. Systems don't work anymore. He's a system coach! These kids want to be prepared for the next level. Coaches owe it to them for what they give to at minimum do just that.

Blah, blah, blah...our coach sucks because he lost a game we should have won. Translation, if only Haslam hired me, we would never lose again, we would average 98 points a game with 800 yards a game on offense, average -200 yards on defense never having given up a first down. Our special teams would never yield a yard on returns or miss a kick...all because I know everything and players would never screw up because I have prepared them and motivated them to be perfect. After all, a great coach says it and the players always do it. Also, I am such a great recruiter, I will get every good player in Montana every year and I will beat out USC for five star recruits.
This post smells like Growler et al...some of you guys just really need to accept that this is a sport coached and played by human beings, it just isn't going to be neat and tidy week in and week out. I enjoy the wins and hate the losses, I just don't see the point of pretending I know more than the coaches or thinking that college kids who blow a coverage, drop a pass, miss a block, etc. should get their name mentioned on a fan board...or conjecture about their pain threshold.

Stitt came here to restore the championship ways of Griz Football...stats don't win Championships & nearly every program & franchise have "closed the gap"

Fair enough. But I am not sure that David Lee Roth would agree.

Stats, of course, are bolstered by the patsies we played. That aside, where are we ranked in 3rd and 4th down conversions? The key plays that contributed to our two losses.... Can we get the yards when we need them is the question.

Maybe EWU can get a dose of Joey Counts today. Joey could maybe lower the boom on EWU linebackers to soften them up. Question would be can Joey stay healthy long enough to do so.

The only thing missing is a pair of fuzzy dice hanging from the goal post cross bar.

That and a, "Gas, Grass or Ass, Nobody Rides For Free" bumper sticker on the "stadium".

Ranks
3rd down conversion: 22/122
4th down conversion: 88/122

So, third down conversion percentage is great, 4th down not so great (although before NAU we converted 6/11, which is much better)
