I think the number of false rape claims is really low, but that graph has been widely discredited.

No one ones how many unreported rapes there are....because they're unreported.

It was her opinion that Jane didn't act differently after the incident than before the incident despite her only acquaintance was socially. She didn't really know either of them by own admission. Her entire testimony by her own admission was in retrospect (memory.) She wasn't exactly one of the folks told...... She may well never have seen doe leave class or labs by her own admission wasn't in all of them.

Ah, Spokaneman is up from his nap. For statistics to be relevant you need data. The absence of which would be...this, just another visual representation of what is believed by someone to represent the reality. The only confirmable elements here would be 1) charged 2) convicted 3) exonerated. Even reported would be skewed becasue there is no database for reported. Reported to whom? cops, councilor, teacher, priest? No way to tally that much less the unreported....kind of like the old "silent majority"... No run along and play with Troll-N-Tool.

Say for instance you wanted to know the odds of recruiting out of Compton, CA and that recruit ending up a thug.. one could put some statistical data together to arrive at a conclusion...

Using statistics to make figures for this issue is exactly what the graph's author did, and it's exactly why it's been discredited.

Since you brought EWU up lets look at how each school ACTUALLY TREATED very similar events....

UM: Football player accused of rape. Coach praised him, went to AD to plea that he remain on the team until "convicted" of such charges, but was eventually suspended. Allowed to remain in school...

EWU: Football player accused of rape. Coach Immediately kicks him off team. University immediately kicks him out of school....
