JJ Trial

Come on jury! You're killing me? So, if it's a hung jury, the state has the option of trying the case again correct?

Twitter is pulling for a hung jury so they can do this all over again.

#johnsontrial will always come down to he said she said arguments and no smoking gun of proof. People now a days want definitive proof
Yeah, and in trials like this they want proof beyond a reasonable doubt. What the hell is wrong with people now a days?

Sure hope this deliberation doesn't go into the weekend. The longer it takes, the worse for JJ I think.

That's probably the conventional wisdom, but in reality, it's hard to say. A lot of things could cause the deliberations to take longer than you'd expect. It shouldn't shock anyone if the jury's initial vote is not unanimous, and if it's going to end as a hung jury, then that determination should only be made after the jury has made a diligent attempt to break any deadlock.

Bet you money they wanted their free lunch and then once they ate that they need to sit around and make it look good. Happened to me once. We finished the trial and went back to the room to deliberate. Took an initial vote to see what we thought and it was 12 to aquite. BUT we wanted our lunch that we just ordered and we thought they put so much work into the case that we at least needed to give the appearance that we were discussing it. HAHA

Well lets hope thats the case because anybody with a brainstem can see there's nobody guilty of rape in this trial. Except the Missoulian.
