JJ Trial

Boylan objects and judge sustains. #johnsontrial About him telling her to turn over, Paoli said the woman agreed she assisted.
Why would the judge sustain this objection? Wasn't this the alleged victim's testimony?
If the tweets are correct, then sustaining the objection was improper; close to misconduct.

If you read the tweets by reporter as opposed to #johnsontrial, you could be easily convinced there were 5 different trials going on. The sum is confusing enough.

question:

At some point does the jury start to get upset with some of the bias and, conscious or unconsciously, hold it against the prosecution?

this has to piss some of these jurors off, who are actually trying to be unbiased...

that's why I thought it was a good move by Paoli to push the limit of Boylan, to get her to object, which I thought might look bad for her in the eyes of the jury. I don't recall the defense objecting to any of Boylan's baloney.

Speaking of piss... The older gentleman on the Jury who had coffee and donuts just before the start several hours ago may NOT have found the break such a bad idea........

Has to make the jury wonder what Boylan is afraid of and why she would object to things that were mentioned in testimony being brought up.

I am so glad he is getting all of these outside influence jabs in. Objections or not, the jury is hearing things.

I bet he would've thought it a better idea 12 minutes earlier.......between the closings?

Or why she would object to Paoli mentioning the DOJ investigation. Wonder if the train picture will make an appearance again? Looks like JJ is getting railroaded big time here.

True.........

It might just be me, but think about a situation in which you have stepped outside of your normal routine to engage in a meeting such as PTA, little league, girl scouts, neighborhood watch committee, etc and graciously sat through it and listened attentively. And it drags on and finally you start realizing to yourself.."great, we've covered it all, mission accomplished, we are done here" and then someone just keeps dragging it on with inane questions, rehashing the same issues, etc...well, the jurors have stepped outside of their normal routines and are now on that edge of finally getting it finished...and it just seems to keep going..(the train keeps running) for me, those sort of delays are highly irritating and really test my patience...

But not if you are trying to disrupt the flow of the Defense closing..... ;)

Nothing much disrupts Daves flow. That break may have saved his life, or at least saved him from passing out from hyperventilating.....

Paoli just made a great point, asking the jury why JJ wouldn't have invited the alleged victim to his house when he knew his roommates were gone, rather than trying to get away with something in a house where her roommates were present.
