Janacaro = 37

Most will not agree with my comment on the #37 thing, but I think we should end this now. All it does is create division among the players as to which player is awarded this uniform number. If we are going to keep the tradition, the method of awarding it should be by vote of the other players from the state who are on the team, and not just awarded by the previous #37, who might award it based on friendship rather than merit. Just my opinion.

I love you.

Well maybe if you could show even once where that has happened it would be useful. You obviously don’t know much about the players.

I know that many players during the past two years have not agreed upon the chosen player to wear #37. Is that good enough to support my point?

Based on friendship vs. merit seems a little more genuine and less open to critics, merit seems like it's wide open to criticism (right of wrong)...and the reality of it all is that friendship doesn't discount merit and adds an element of obligation and personal commitment. Just a thought ...

But a vote by all squad players who come from Montana would negate all other biases , right?

But if its not unanimous I would think that becomes the problem and those biases rear their ugly heads...

Soooooo........I'm going out on a limb and reading between the lines here: "the guy who I think should've gotten it didn't get it, so now my stance is this is dumb and should be retired" or "Hauck 2.0 has ruined everything, and since he kinda mucked up the 37 last year, it should be retired cuz I hate Bobby" or "37 was started by Tim Hauck, and he's Bobby's brother, and I hate Bobby, so retire it". Just trying to catch which angle you're going on here....but damn, for as much as you seem to not like hoops, you sure seem to be as polarized and opinionated as he is.

No one who matters gives a crap what you...me...or anyone else thinks about the tradition. The ONLY people who get a say in it are 37s. That's it. That's the tradition. There are no amendments.

You might wanna take a break. You're treading water trying to embellish a simple solution to s problem which divided the team last season.

Then why was there an issue about it last season? If it is so simple and straightforward, there should not have been an issue, right? Yet there was.....

It was a problem because someone tried to amend what cannot be amended.

Rainer Griz, so not reading between the lines on this whole # 37. To be completely fair not only should Griz football discontinue #37 but the NFL should not name a MVP of the Super Bowl and college football should stop awarding the Heisman Trophy and the PGA should award participation ribbons for winning the Masters. Reason being it might upset the other players, really? I think your making something out of nothing. But that is your opinion and your certainly entitled to it. On the other hand I think it’s as much if not more for the fans. Once the players head into battle the #37 is just another number.
