Jamar akoh

Think I saw him at Depot on Friday night with the coaches and Michael Oguine. Appears he's a to-be-HS senior. Is that right? Pretty impressed with the video if he's got another full year of HS to continue to develop. Hope he signs on the line when the time comes.

Akoh will be a college junior after he sits out a year. :thumb:

Not a prolific scorer but looks like he could develop well to a solid post presence. Good mid range jump shot with a high arc. Big body that bangs well. Didn't look to elevate much but uses a good hook shot and the glass well. An active defender also, dosnt just sit back.

Got it.......see he's played two years for =Cal State Fullerton.

Interesting. I thought they would want a junior eligible to play immediately to space out our scholarships. Leaves us in basically the same place with Fabijan being the only scholly player in his class and 6 the following year instead of 5 that followed Breunig.

Either way looks like a solid post that will fit well with what coach Decuire wants to do. GO GRIZ!

My question would be, how long has he been playing basketball? If just a few years, there could be real upside potential here.

Welcome Jamar! Other than the cold, I think you'll find that Missoula is a lot more like California than the stereotypes would have you believe.

Congrats and welcome, Jamar! You'll love Missoula, the U of M, and it will be a great place for you to "Remember the Titans" from. 8-)
