Jack McGillis transferring?

I hate to quote Bobcatnation, but one of their threads reports that Jack McGillis is transferring to UM. Anyone have any confirmation one way or another? Could it be that our JC fell through leaving an available scholarship? If this is true, of course he will have to redshirt for a year but would then have how many years of eligibility?

I assume that the NCAA prohibits any official confirmation until school starts.
