It was a really good year

Ranked 6th in the country. Beat UW, the Cats and destroyed EWU.

Hoping that the offense gets a make over in the off season….really need a mobile QB who can throw. Maybe a change in the offensive coordinator.

A good core coming back next year!

It was a great year.

OC and offensive scheme are not a problem. Losing Knight and Ostmo hurt a lot. Lack of a ready QB backup hurt a lot.

Need an answer at QB, but future is bright.

It really was a good year. There are the ashhats that will complain, but seriously… I didn’t expect the UDub win, and I doubt anyone who id honest did either.

Then they went on the tun at the last half of the season was spectacular. THEN to beat the scats and beagles? That made my year as a fan and alum.

Yeah, the team DEF needs the QB situation addressed. I don’t think Rosie did bad. He worked with what he had. Coach Baer has NOTHING to be overly criticized for. You play aggressive D you gonna get beat down field occasionally.

The OLine coach needs to go. Period. All that talent and size and they struggled all year. Dan Ryan needs to be fired, period. I’m gonna catch hell for this, but those guys got pushed all over the place this year.

Overall though, I am happy the Griz made it to the QF. I am happy with the season. I look forward to next year. Hopefully, they don’t have too many transfers.

I think the OC actually is a problem but we have to find a QB and some additional OLine. We have an embarrassment of riches coming back at RB and super young talent coming back all over on offense. Just get a QB who is a point guard and knows how to play to our strengths. We will be fine. Defense returns a lot.

We had a great year! Beat Washington, State college and Eastern Washington!
I hope all of our assistant coaches return. It seems to me that our number one problem was injuries, including tonight. Is there a way to reduce injuries? I don’t know the answer.

Specific problems pretty well covered (key injuries, etc.) ... so I won't go there

So: THIS WAS ONE HELL OF A YEAR!

Sure, we all wanted one more (and more and more wins). But the Griz won 10 games, including one in the playoffs. In all of FCS, only fourteen (if I counted right) teams won that many or more games.

THANK YOU Griz players and staff for a wonderful season of football!

Honestly I am not looking forward to next year. Take a look at what this team loses and what it has to replace it and I think the griz regress next season. Main concern, O line and QB, they graduate a ton of O line, The current underclassmen we have seen are not the answer at QB so they are likely to have either a true freshman and all the problems that come with that or flat QB play. Also need a new deep play threat as it hurts the offense without it. Defense loses some key leadership and experience.

At the end of the day this team provided some all-time great moments. Beating UW, MSU, and EWU. Ford and OConnell with ridiculous seasons, Junior’s emergence. Akem with his record breaking performance. Boomschini making the punt so exciting again. Flowers electricity with the ball in his hands. The long stretches without a TD that happened multiple times. And many, many more!

They did it with a next man up mentality all year. Our young guys got invaluable experience and it’s clear that the culture is night and day different than it was when Hauck took over. The fans are back and Washington-Grizzly was absolutely rocking those last two games. Expectations are now higher once again, and that is a testament to what we’ve seen the last decade. The recruiting is starting to pay dividends and now we can focus on one or two areas with deficiencies and correct them as opposed to a huge program rebuild from top to bottom like was needed. The injuries were the worst I’ve seen for a team I’ve followed this closely at least consistently at key positions. Running back will be a huge difference maker next year and go a long ways to curing some of the offensive woes, and we will get to see a good qb competition in the spring and fall camps. I expect some big drop down transfers for this team given the landscape, and that’s where we relied heavily as part of the rebuild, but moving forward that Montana grit and backbone that makes up a huge part of our teams historical success has been restored.

What could’ve been is a dangerous mentality. Now that the season is over it’s time to give them all the credit that is due.
