Well, he fired himself as ISU's special teams coordinator:

Idaho State head coach Mike Kramer announced Wednesday night during the ISU Coaches Radio Show that he fired himself as the team's special teams coordinator. Rookie Bengals coach David Fiefia will take over the special teams, Kramer said.

Here is Kramer's full comment on the change ...

"I fired my kick teams' coordinator last night and I replaced him with David Fiefia, who is our running backs (and tight ends) coach. He ran it today for the first time. David tutored himself under Dave Ungerer, the kick teams coach at Utah State. ... He is one of the finest coaches in the United States at any level at any position. ... David (Fiefia) has picked that up. There have been times over the last couple weeks, fellas, Jodi (Wotowey) has been tugging on my sleeve, our trainer, 'Hey, Kramer, there's a guy hurt.' And I'm going, 'Hey, I'm helping us run our offense.' And I'm not being able to attend to the kick game. I'll tell you this, one time we kicked off last week and I forgot to call the kick. I'm telling you. ... I fired myself. I deserve it. Have you seen us play in kick game this year? Gah!"

Q - Can he bring a lawsuit against the state of Idaho for being abruptly and wrongly fired at his special teams job? Lets start the depositions.

Kramer can be and is one of the better Big Sky coaches. As of late he finds himself in a box with few good players and of course is "down under" .....Not sure what he will do now but he can be a sneaky coach so don't under estimate the guy!

And to think many Griz fans wanted him to come to Griz land simply because he beat us while at EWU. Instead the msu nuts hired him and of course the rest is history.

Ida. St.'s poor season so far shows what can happen when 1 player from the offense graduates and everyone else returns.

It's more than just one player. We got a new offensive coordinator as well and he's still learning the ropes. Plus a safety and middle linebacker went down with injuries in August, and they were two of the best players on our team. As far as our QB, he played for a JC last year and should have come in for spring ball or just redshirted the entire year to learn things. But he has shown improvement from when he first took the field a month ago.
