2009....first round of playoffs vs. SDSU.....4 first half Griz TO's, down 48 - 21 (27 points, same as 27 - 0), 5 1/2 minutes left in 3rd quarter...final score 61-48 Griz!!

Will the same scenario emerge this weekend? Most Cat fans (and some of their coaches) would probably miss such an epic comeback.....they'd be home bashing whoever caused the first half TO's personally on Bobcat Nation (or in the local media).

I'll never forget that game.....Griz Pride and Heart at its finest.

One of the best. Even the south end zone was loud that day.
 
I got the DVD too. Also App St. I still get nervous watching those games.

You can get the playoff DVDs from the NCAA. They are good for something after all!

Ha! Actually, they're not. They took that site down a few years ago and the vids are no longer available.

I have seen the video about 100 times. I would like to see the entire game again, well at least the last 22 minutes or so. Also I would like a copy of Holien and Gurnsey radio play by play. The last 20 minutes are just flat out awesome.

Gurnsey squealing like a little girl on the last interception is one of my favorite Griz moments ever. :lol: :thumb:
 
The South Dakota State game was the only Griz home playoff game I missed that year...at least I was in the stadium for app state
 
We did it to them in 1993 when I was a student trainer as well. We were down 38-7 in the third quarter and Dickenson and Gurnsey connected for several scores to win 52-48. It wasn't a playoff game though, just the first game of the 1993 season. Dickenson was a sophomore.

The Griz just never say "die". :thumb:
 
I was watching online in Cincinnati while cooking for visiting in-laws. I will never forget that game. I went from cussing at the computer monitor to cheering. That was the day my father in law became a Griz fan.

The radio broadcast could be found online for awhile too, but then the fun police took that down also.

I "watched" that one on the radio in the middle of an eastern Montana pasture. Could not believe what I was hearing. Can only imagine the house was rocking like during the later playoff game. No wonder So. Dakota State hates us. :ugeek:
