Introducing the new and improved North Dakota...

Boy, I sure hope it wasn't the "fighting" part of Fighting Sioux that was construed offensive. LOL.

Jesus, they should have just stayed with the "cauliflower buffalo" mascot!

Exactly. I'm not sure what was wrong with that one, save for the produce.

ive never seen a hawk fight, or even been known for doing so...

i have seen hawks act what could be termed "precocious"; but never have I actually seen two hawks fighting..........certainly something to ponder.

The judge looked down from the bench and addressed the petitioner standing before him.
"I see you wish to have your name legally changed, is that correct"
"Yes" answered the petitioner.
"I see" said the judge "may I ask why"?
"I don't like my current name" replied the man.
"What is your name now" inquired the judge.
The petitioner looked up and said "Tom, Tom Shitispants"
The startled judge exclaimed "I understand, and will allow it. To what do you wish to change your name"?
The man thought for a moment and answered....... "Ron".

That is a name equal to those picked by 12 year olds while creating a dynasty on NCAA football. They also make the jerseys blue, green, red, and silver!

Nailed it. There is no way that anyone actually voted for that. I think someone at NDSU may have been involved in counting the votes.... "Watch this......"

Grizpack.......really..........Prez Kelley had his "top" people counting votes......so "FHawk off"

Sportswriters and most others are obviously going to just use "Hawks." I don't see what's so bad about it. Seems good enough for an NFL team. I liked the choice of RoughRiders in view of T. Roosevelt Nat'l Park being in the state, but someone pointed out that a ND high school was already using it. I'm sure ND fans are looking more at the quality of their teams than the name. :coffee:
