The BSC schedule (non)randomly just happened to create some notable matchups for this evening. Even the Northern Arizona (2-3) at Idaho (1-4) game could make an interesting difference. If the Spuds could pull off the home win, they would drop ISU (2-5, but not playing tonight) into last place. And, when the Griz pound Portland State (2-4), Idaho would move ahead of them too. No much of a consolation … but something.
Coincidently, the schedule has matched two teams tied for third (Griz and MSU at 4-2) with two teams tied for seventh (PSU and Sac State at 2-4) against each other.
Lastly, we get to answer a key early-season question: Can EWU (5-0) remain undefeated in conference? Or can NoColo (4-1) win and pull into a tie for the early lead?
Still lots of games to be played, but anyone who drops three games (or more) back will have a rough row to hoe. (FYI: Weber is idle.)
