I look at it differently.

As a whole, no one cares about about FCS football unless you’re a fan of an FCS team. Their audience, and much of their show would still focus on the FBS. That’s just reality. So I don’t really think they’d dig into too much our records. And with two games to go, who knows where we’ll both be sitting?

What does matter is we have the best rivalry in FCS in the entire country. No one else comes close. You guys have the best facilities in FCS with only a handful even close. Both fanbases are excellent and will show up in droves. The surrounding scenery is icing on the cake.

In a nutshell, almost none of their audience will truly care about the actual game anyway. They certainly won’t care about records. But it would be an excellent opportunity to show that while we’ll never play in a power 5 bowl game, or pack 100,000 in our stadiums, we have a lot of passion and great fans.

I think it’d be awesome.

Completely agree. CGD isn’t about the game at the venue itself. It’s about showing a college football Saturday before the network kicks it over to Akron v. Dayton (or something) at noon eastern time.

I think it would be a great showcase, honestly, but I don’t know much.

You’re missing out. If you like college football, it’s a fun show to watch. Does a great job of showcasing the different game day atmospheres around the country. If you’re not into college football, I can see why it would be boring.

When would ESPN likely officially announce where ESPN Game Day will be on the 20th of November? Is it a week before or sooner? I would think they would like to start booking hotels and travel logistics in advance and it would "leak" out a little early.

The announcement almost always comes on Sunday around noon, however I’ve seen the announcement bleed into Monday in the past as well.

We would know 11/13 or 11/14 if it was happening for sure.

Me too. Great show.

They find a perfect mix of stories regarding the teams playing at the site of the broadcast, all of the big FBS matchups around the country, great stories about players and coaches we’d otherwise never hear, as well as really giving kudos to the university and city of which their at.

It would be incredible pub for UM, the griz, the cats, and the entire conference and FCS.

How people wouldn’t want this to happen is beyond me.

Yeah, they should have included an #MSU and #Bozeman hashtag because it would make so much sense to do that.

Bravo.

Nothing stopping the MSU social media teams (that I often hear are far superior to our own from your fans) from putting stuff of their own out trying to get CGD at this game.
