sounds like Bo Pelini will be the next head coach at Youngstown State

That's a real come down unless...unless Youngstown State has lured Bo with those two hushed words that set Griz Flat Lander's teeth a chattering...

Oh I just cant believe that.................."why would an FBS coach take a paycut", "nobody slides backwards when they have been in the FBS" "There is no way a team like Youngstown would hire Pelini after Nebraska fired him"

It's a pay cut when you go from unemployed to being an FCS head coach?

Actually Pelini is not taking a paycut...he will continue to get checks from Nebraska for quite some time.

Per a post on AGS, a Sports Illustrated reporter actually contacted Bo Pelini. According to the coach he hasn't even been offered by Youngstown. Said Pelini, "It is a complete fabrication".

So obviously, the guy is trying to finalize his deal with Montana. Smart move by the school to float the other story to obscure the truth.

Born and raised in Youngstown. No need to worry about a check...as NE owes him plenty. Novel concept? Wanting to go home....not IMO.

SI did some research on FBS coaching hires - where they come from and how successful.

FBS - coordinators/position coaches 75 hires, 38 successes

FBS Head coaches -- 53 hires, 24 successes

NFL coaches -- 12 hires, 3 successes

FCS/DII head coaches -- 13 hires, 9 successes... 69% success rate, best out there for new coaches

Could be more as there are probably a few with multiple screen names who, I am sure played the game, great post though!

Any research on egriz posters?

Currently 654 online.

653 have never played the game.

Or coached FBS.

Or FCS.

Most drink though.

I've not played the game since junior high, don't drink, smoke or do drugs. Guess I'm sort of boring. :) Never liked being put in an altered state.

If you went to school in Butte, you were in an "altered state". ;)
