In Bozeman

state Safety Rob Marshall (who seems like a great guy by the way, rivalry aside) said that "the loss to Montana left his team and fans bitter and angry".

Well, the subsequent 1 and done in the playoffs has probably left state and their fans :argue: a little hostile. O-well, what's a few hundred days, give or take, until they can do anything about it?

msu football, where dreams go to die. :yikes: Yikes.

There is no way that game was embarrasing to the Big Sky Conference. FIRST OFF, SDSU was a 10-point favorite and for much of the game, they played like it. They manhandled the Cats' defensive line, and Zenner went nuts like he always does. The Cats were out-gunned all over the field, and hyet they damn near recovered an onside kick that would have given them over one minute, at midfield in which to work with. There is NO WAY that's embarrassing and neither was Newell's touchdown in garbage time. If it was Jordan Canada who ripped off a huge play down to scores, then scored, and setting up an onside kick with over a minute left, no one would have been calling Canada's play a "garbage time" score. The MSU/SDSU game was a GREAT representation of FCS playoff football and playoff football in Montana.

The Cats didn't win, but they certainly weren't embarrassing. Geez.

I was confused why they kept running it up the middle on the last few drives. Seemed like they didn't know they were down 2 scores with just a few minutes left.

They must have stolen those plays from us.

The Bobcat players shouldn't be embarrassed - they never quit, fought hard to the bitter end. The Bobcat fans - not so much!!

That's the payback for hubris and arrogance.

CatNation spent two months heralding the second coming of the best Bobcat Team in history, that would make mincemeat of Montana's "vaunted" defense. I think team pride is a great thing, but their views of themselves had become not just delusional, but the fact is, they were already bitter and angry and it came back and bit them hard.

The mad Russian was almost in tears on the TV post game show. He stated "the season starts next year."

The cat's will think about changing from the "bobcats" and renaming the team "Next Year".

I'd like to see them do better as it helps the state of Montana and the conference overall and keeps the rest of the nation from confusing us with them!

Your last point is excellent.

Sorry to hear the Russian Lad was sad. Maybe he just needed some more Vim.

The only thing embarrassing about the SDSU vs bozo game was a prediction that bozo would destroy SDSU by 3 touchdowns. geez
