Immediate Impact Players

I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere but wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what new recruits or transfers are going to have the biggest impact right away next season? Also buying my first set of season tickets! Can't wait for this season to start! FTC

Gavin Robertson at safety will start IMO. Eli Alford will rotate in on DL. Might be hard to keep Sulser off the field. Mamula looks like a beast.

I think we have a nice DT and DE that may see the field sooner rather than later. I think the rest will redshirt, which I am a big fan of.

But I think there is depth ahead of him that will allow him to adjust. If he just absolutely crushes it maybe, but it's ok IMO for him to redshirt. The other 3 agree. I didn't include Robertson in my previous comment because he's a transfer and not sure if LB or SS? Hope safety. But agree with him as well starting if SS

Yep agree. I saw Shann also said he expects Robertson to have immediate impact so guessing he'll see the field quickly.

I could see Robertson being a "rover" in a 4-2-5 set. A third safety with 2 corners. Could make sense with not having a lot of corners (although I'm sure some will come).

Hauck just stated in press conf that any transfers brought in were brought in to play and compete right away and that majority of freshman will redshirt

Sounds about typical for all coaches.

He also said if your incoming freshman are playing, you haven't recruited very well in the past!

But some of that depth is being converted to CB so...

At Polson get together hauck was pretty excited about Mamula's potential, but as expected he loves the entire group

Possible Impact player??? It has already been confirmed by Coach Hauck there will be some WR's moving to the defensive side, but an interesting side note expressed to me by one of the coaches at the Kalispell function this week was that Caleb Hill has bulked up to 230 lbs, and they are looking at moving him to TE, something he appears very open to.

I think could be a good move for all involved

A little early but here goes... Both transfers Dalton Sneed,>>> QB and Adam Eastwood>>>, RB have FBS experience and ties to Bobby Hauck, from the past, Both are very talented and will play early and often!!! Coach Hauck did say **"Transfers were not recruited to sit"! What ever that means? I can see Sulser as a return man as well. If he can play as a freshman? Bobby will play him. Give JLM a break here perhaps??? Ask this again after spring ball...A very, very good recruiting group, this year, so I expect special teams to be young and aggressive! Robby Hauck will challenge at safety he is a hitter that will get a lot of time. He will probably start with Gavin before long... I'm excited to get this thing moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a three year plan. We are going to start making hay in 2018!!! Go Griz!

Robby Hauck isn’t replacing Sandry. Period. Hell, he may not even be eligible to play.
