If we were only getting better.....

I was talking to my Dad after the game and we were chatting about the fact that we could handle a Griz loss here and there as long as the team was getting better. For example, like last year....a slow start as far as their record goes, but they got better and better with every game. The offense, the defense, special teams, play calling, etc.....it got better each game and by the time late-season came, the Griz were rolling and were a force to be reckoned with.

This year, I feel like the Griz looked legit at Appy St, they looked darn good at EWU (the new #1 team in the country) on their turf....and unfortunately they have gone completely backwards from there. Some of the play calling, the predicatability, kicking off twice, backing up on a punt, no offensive adjustments in the 2nd half, blocked FGs....that's coaching and things that should be getting corrected each week to make the team better but doesn't seem to be on any level. I hope they bounce back....they have the talented kids to do it....I just hope the coaches play a role in helping them TO DO IT. All talent needs coaching and help to reach its full potential.....either way, I bleed Maroon and will root fot these boys each week and forever....but I'd like to see these guys get better before they get worse.

Unfortunately.... "Losing" is addictive...... Remember when the Griz would always find a way to win?
Now the Griz find a way to lose....
Even Delaney says the Griz keep finding ways to lose games.....
I hope I'm totally wrong but I just don't see us digging out of our funk this season. I'll keep going to the games and supporting them but there is a virus spreading.... You can see it.... Hell.... You can smell it..

I agree. I remained somewhat hopeful following the EWU game because we played very well and should have won the game. However, we looked horrible against N.Col. It was a huge step backwards. Thank god they were so inept. At this point I'm holding out hope for a 6-5 season.
