Yep 6 conference wins in a row. That's right Re/Max.
Let me add a scenario 3 that I've been worried about today.
3) The team abandons our "extra pass" style of play that has allowed us to play so well as of late, due to the fact that they are playing in front of a national audience and want some exposure for themselves.
I hope that we are disciplined enough to want the win more than the spotlight, but I have to say I am a little worried about this. Here are the teams average shot attempts through the season:
Davis: 10.1
Criswell: 8.8
Martin: 7.4
Dlouhy: 7.0
Strait: 5.6
Farr: 4.1
Easley: 3.9
Seyfert: 3.7
Matthews: 2.0
Now there are obviously exceptions to the rule (somebody has a hot night), but for the most part, if somebody's shot attempts are way up...it's not a good sign. I give Virgil a free pass though, because he's been playing so well.
I really hope he proves me wrong, but Martin seems to let a good night shooting affect how much he shoots in the next game. If he's still shooting well than that's ok, but he's the point guard and he needs to run this offense in the most efficient way tonight. Even if that means he only shoots 3 or 4 times tonight. I think the other guards should have the same mind-set. If KD, Andrew and John are having success inside, than that's where we need to attack. Getting Allred in foul trouble would be big tonight.
