Any of your guys coming to the game on saturday? Should be a great game.

When your five's have an off game (like today), you don't rebound, give up loads of points in the paint, and lose.McGillis is a 3 playing the four as is Banny. I think Ward will be fine in the long run, but right now we are super weak at the four position. I really have a hard time seeing the Griz go much better than 9-7 in conference this year. I hope I am wrong.

Banny is a four. Threes are scorers, fours are rebounders if they are not athletic scorers. No way Banny is a three. What is funny is that we have been weak at the three, and now it is at the four.
Have we seen a Selvig at the three, Ward at the four, and Qvale at the five lineup much this season? The only thing I can see being a problem is foul trouble and having to replace someone. But I really like the combo of these guys.
Banny was a 3 last year and like McGillis has been moved to the 4. I agree he is not a scorer. I can't help but wonder what the addition of Thurman Woods might have meant to the Griz this year. Selvig has played exclusively at the 4 and 5. Given our lack of posts, and abundance of wings, I doubt we will see him at the 3.bigtyme said:GrizWhiz said:It's tough to win consistently when you have zero power forwards. Selvig is probably one of the best shooters on the team. And with Ward and Qvale out there it gives him room to move around the floor and does not force him to be a rebounder and stuck inside. If Johnson is the two and Cherry is the PG we have two three point shooters out there and two guys that can get to the basket, combined with three big rebounders. That is a lineup that no one in the BSC can match.PeauxRouge said:bigtyme said:Banny is a four. Threes are scorers, fours are rebounders if they are not athletic scorers. No way Banny is a three. Sounds like a GREAT idea to me! But that would take away a 3-Point shooter, and we can't have that!

If you had to you could put Young at the two instead of Johnson, move Johnson to the point and then you have three shooters out there and even more rebounders.
